Alam mo ba na ang Pilipinas ay tahanan ng isang endemic species ng buwaya na matatagpuan lamang sa bansang ito? Ang buwaya na ito ay hindi dapat ipagkamali sa buwaya ng tubig-alat, ito ay mas maliit at hindi agresibo. Sa kasamaang palad, ang populasyon ng buwayang ito ay nanganganib na sa mundo.
Ang asosasyon ng MeridiE, na pinangasiwaan ng isang reptile specialist, ay naghahanap ng impormasyon sa Philippine crocodile. Nais naming i-update ang pahina ng Wikipedia sa specie na ito at lalo na upang malaman kung ano ang estado ng mga populasyon ng mga buwaya sa Pilipinas.
Kaya naman nais naming pakilusin ang maraming bisitang pilipino sa blog, upang malaman kung mayroon silang anumang impormasyon tungkol sa buwaya na ito. Inilalagay namin sa iyo ang pahina ng Wikipedia, at isang video din ng mga proyekto sa konserbasyon na isinasagawa ng Cologne Zoo. Did you know that the Philippines is home to an endemic species of crocodile that is only found in this country? This crocodile should not be confused with the saltwater crocodile, it is smaller and is not aggressive. Unfortunately, it is the crocodile that is the most endangered in the world. The MeridiE association, which is cofonded by a reptile specialist, is looking for information on the Philippines crocodile.
We want to update the Wikipedia page in English and French on this specie and especially to know what the state of the populations in the Philippines is. We would therefore like to mobilize the many filipino visitors of the blog, to find out if they have any information about this crocodile.
